Health Inspector

The Town of Dalton has an immediate opening for a part-time Health Inspector. This position will average 8-hours per week. Pay ranges from $26.21-33.41 per hour, depending on experience, and is an unbenefited position.

The Health Agent’s role is to promote and protect the public health of our residents through the enforcement of local bylaws, state and federal regulations as they pertain to food establishments, public and semi-public swimming pools, recreational camps, housing and human habitation, septic systems, perc tests, soil evaluations, dumpsters, tanning establishments, body art establishments, bathing beaches, hotels/motels, and other areas that arise. Part-time Van Driver

The Dalton Council on Aging is currently seeking a part-time van driver for our transportation program serving seniors and disabled, ranging from 4-19 hours per week. The candidate must have a valid driver’s license, excellent driving record and a gentle demeanor. Experience operating a chair lift system is preferred. Must submit a CORI waiver and pass a background check. Starting salary is $15.50 per hour.

Equipment Operator

The Town of Dalton has a full-time opening for an Equipment Operator in the Department of Public Works. Duties include operating equipment involving the construction, repairing, cleaning and maintaining of Town roads, cemeteries, parks, sewer and drainage systems and the maintenance of vehicles and equipment.

Requirements include high school diploma or equivalent, five years’ experience in road construction and maintenance; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess a valid Class B CDL Driver’s License with an air brake endorsement and a 2A and 4G Hoisting License.
