Senior Center / COA Calendars
The monthly calendar list all the COA-sponsored activities as currently scheduled. All take place in the new Dalton Senior Center unless otherwise noted.
*Note: there are continual changes to the calendar, not all of which get published here. Be sure to confirm by calling the COA at 684-2000 if you are new to an activity; also call if you have questions.
All meals except Sunday Lunch are in our beautiful Senior Center. Reservations are required: call the COA Office at (413) 684-2000 at least one full business day in advance. Plan to go early to enjoy coffee and good conversation before the noon luncheons. See Menus at bottom of page.
Monday & Thursday Lunches
Meals for the noon Monday and Thursday lunches are provided by the Elder Services Meals on Wheels program. See Elder Services Meals on Wheels page for full menus covering other days and towns as well as nutritional information. Suggested donation: $3.
Tuesday Soup & Sandwich Lunch
Join us in the Café at the Senior Center at noon for a Soup & Sandwich lunch! Cost: one green $5 coupon, purchased at front desk.
Sunday Lunch
Begun in 1992 as a collaboration with the Dalton Clergy Assoc., Elder Services and the Dalton Council on Aging, this is truly a community-owned program. A number of host groups serve on a scheduled rotation, planning, preparing and serving a healthy meal on 1st and 3rd Sunday at 1:00 p.m. at the Dalton Senior Center. Donations are appreciated.
Host groups include the COA Board of Directors, First Congregational, Grace Episcopal, Dalton United Methodist, Nazarene and St. Agnes’ churches, Dalton Rotary, Hinsdale Helpers and Boy Scouts.
