The Dalton Police Department is located in the basement of the Town Hall on Main Street. It has its own entrance around the corner on South Carson Avenue.
Administrative offices are open Monday through Friday. However, the department operates 24 hours a day, and anyone with a problem or question can reach an officer by calling the business line at 413-684-0300.

Firearms Licensing Processing
As of June 8, 2020; Firearm permits are processed between the hours of 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. by appointments only due to Covid-19. Please call 413-684-0300 to schedule your appointment. No walk ins are being accepted at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
If you are processing a renewal, please bring your current LTC or FID card and a check or money order for $ 100 made payable to the Town of Dalton.
If you are applying for your permit for the first time, please bring the completed application, your Certificate from the safety course, and a check or money order for $ 100 made payable to the Town of Dalton. Applications can be obtained at the bottom of the page.
