For the past few years, the Select Board has been hosting a Pre-Town Meeting Educational Session, where residents can learn about the warrant articles before the Town Meeting.

Annual Town Meeting
The Annual Town Meeting shall be held on the first Monday in May, at which meeting all business pertaining to the Town shall be transacted with the exception of the election of Town officers and the determination of such matters as are by law required to be determined by ballot, and if a legal holiday falls on the first Monday, said business meeting shall be held on the Tuesday following the first Monday. Copies of motions and article explanations for Annual and Special Town Meetings shall be distributed at the beginning of each meeting to voters attending the meeting.
The Select Board shall cause to be printed and distributed, at least five days before the Annual Town Meeting, the reports of the officers of the various departments of the Town together with an estimate of the sums necessary to be raised for the ensuing year, and the articles in the warrant for the Annual Town Meeting
Boy Scout Troop 4 will be delivering Town Reports to all Dalton households on Saturday, April 13th and Sunday, April 14th. Please call the Town Manager’s Office at 413-684-6111 ext. 202 if your household does not receive one.
