ADA Committee
The Dalton ADA Committee was created in October, 2022. The five-member ADA Committee (one-year terms) is appointed by the Town Manager and ratified by the Select Board. The committee will work on behalf of the Town as a whole to advise the Select Board on the implementation of ADA improvements to town facilities, provided by Berkshire Regional Planning Commission through their ADA Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan, and will advise on continual improvements.

FY24 Municipal ADA Improvement Grant
The ADA Committee is committed to making the Town of Dalton accessible to all. In 2023, the committee applied for a Municipal ADA Improvement Grant for accessible, metal picnic tables. The town was approved for the grant in the amount of $6,414 and MassCOR provided seven tables. One was installed in front of the Library and two at each park in June of 2024–
CEDAC Home Modification Loan
Berkshire Regional Planning Commission is the Berkshire County Provider for the CEDAC Home Modification Loan Program. This is a state-funded program that can fund additions and adaptations to help family members with physical and cognitive limitations, making it possible for them to live at home. HMLP offers ZERO percent interest loans for up to $50,000 for projects such as accessory dwelling units, ramps and lifts, kitchen and bathroom modifications, sensory spaces and fences.
