Chamberlain Park
Chamberlain Park is located on the east side of town with 9.2 acres. It offers a small playground area, two baseball fields, a concession stand, handicap accessible bathrooms, a soccer field, and a half-court for basketball. During the summer months a Park Leader organizes children’s activities Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to noon, and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Directions: Accessible by way of Main Street past Byron Weston Mill, Go over bridge and take a right on to Depot Street and go past the block of businesses and take a left on to Chamberlain Avenue. The Park is located at the end of Chamberlain Avenue.
Crane Park
This is a pocket park offering a small amount of playground equipment, which includes swings, a merry-go-round, and a half-court for basketball.
Directions: Take South Street from Main Street (Routes 8/9), then a right on Crane Avenue. Park is at the end of Crane Avenue.
Greenridge Park
Greenridge park is located on the south side of town and offers a baseball field, soccer field, a full basketball court, and a newly renovated playground area. These renovations were made possible through the efforts of the GE Alfins, Community Partnership of Central Berkshire Regional School District and the town of Dalton. This park is used for sports leagues as well as park activities.
Directions: Located on South Street before Edgemere Road.
Pinegrove Park
Pinegrove is our busiest park and is located in the center of Dalton with 7.0 acres. This park offers two full size basketball courts, one baseball field, two softball fields, a football field, a large pavilion, concession stand, handicap accessible bathrooms, and two playground structures, one designed for toddler through six years and one designed for seven to thirteen years. With the exception of the dead of winter this park remains very active all year long. It is used for sports leagues as well as park activities. During the months of June, July, and August, the town of Dalton names a Park Leader who provides recreational activity Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to noon, and evening activities from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Directions: Park is located across from Pine Grove Manor on High Street, and is accessible by way of Main Street to Curtis or Carson.
