Lafayette Trail Marker unveiled at CRA
The CRA Community House now features an interpretive sign for the Lafayette Trail! The sign highlights the rich history and significance of the trail, celebrating its role in connecting our community to the legacy of General Lafayette and promoting awareness of our local heritage. The CRA, the Town and the Historical Commission were on hand during the November 11th unveiling.
The Lafayette Trail is a historic route that commemorates the travels of Marquis de Lafayette during his pivotal tour of American in 1824. Stretching through several states, this scenic trail connects key sites associated with Lafayette’s journey, highlighting his contributions to the American Revolutionary War and his enduring legacy in fostering Franco-American relations. As travelers explore the trail, they encounter landmarks, monuments and interpretive signs that celebrate Lafayette’s role in promoting liberty and democracy.
