Community Development Block Grant Announcement

The Town of Dalton is pleased to announce that it is working with the Town of Becket and the Berkshire Regional Planning Commission (BRPC) on a new FY24 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) application, to be submitted March 25, 2024.

The Town of Becket Select Board will hold a Public Hearing at 7:00 PM, Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at the Becket Town Hall, 557 Main Street, Becket, MA 01223 to discuss the submittal of a FY24 Becket-Dalton CDBG Housing Rehabilitation grant application and to receive public comment on the submittal.

This grant will focus on continuing the work of CDBG Housing Rehabilitation Program in the towns of Becket and Dalton.  The Housing Rehab program provides eligible homeowners a 0% interest, deferred payment, forgivable loan to undertake repairs on roofs, windows, doors, septic systems, plumbing and many other routine maintenance projects that may have been deferred in the past.
