Annual Town Census
The Town Clerk serves as the liaison for the Federal Census and is responsible for any required redistricting. In addition the Town Clerk’s Office conducts the Annual Town Census; preparing and printing in house, all Street Lists, Voter Lists, School Lists, and furnishing the Jury List to the Office of the Jury Commissioner.
Census forms are mailed in January to every household on record in the Town Clerk’s office. Compliance with this state requirement provides proof of residence to protect voting and burial rights, veteran’s benefits, housing for the elderly and related benefits as well as providing information for selection of jurors and school enrollment. This form does not register you to vote.
Please sign, date, and return Census forms in a timely manner to both protect your rights and ensure that the Town receives its proper share of state and federal funding.
If you need a Census form, became a new resident during the year, or need to make changes to your personal information, please either contact the Town Clerk’s office or download, print, and complete the Census form below and mail to the Clerk’s office.
