The Town of Dalton requested the assistance of Berkshire Regional Planning Commission to
perform an assessment of the current state of housing in the Town in preparation for developing
a Housing Action Plan and amending the Town Comprehensive Plan. This report provides
detailed information about the existing housing stock and will assist in clarifying the need for
elderly, accessible, and affordable housing in Dalton. Funding for this report and the upcoming
Housing Action Plan was provided through the District Local Technical Assistance program.
